NFL Week 4

Well you kind of knew that Edwards and crew were the underdogs last week - they held in there for the first half, then they went down for the count.

This week it looks like we get a free fishin' trip. The Fins are beat up and without an experienced QB so they should be an easy catch.

The line has the Bills favored by 1.5 so I am going to take them as well as under (35) - When Buffalo is playing in Miami the games are under 66.7% 0f the time.

My next pick has the Cowboys beating up on Denver. How do you not take the Cowboys when the line only has them as 3 point favorites. Romo and company are just starting to roll..right over Orton and the Broncos. Oh yeah, I'll also go with the Over @ 42.5

The Steel curtain is about to put a blanket on the chargers. Excluding playoffs the Steelers are 8-0 vs the chargers at home and 5-2-1 ATS. I can't see the Steelers sliding into a 3rd loss. You also have to look at the fact they are playing in the evening and the Chargers are traveling a couple of time zones.

Take the Steelers (-7) and lets go with the under - 42.5 (I would go over if it was an afternoon game but its not).

My final pick is Tennessee(-3) over Jacksonville. The Titans should not have the record they have and the last time they played in Jacksonville, the Titans were favored by 3 and destroyed them - lets go for a repeat.

Ok, one more that I just can't let go of...Cincinnati (-6.5)over Cleveland. Palmer and company are alot better team than Quinn/Anderson and their troupe this year. Lets go with the Under (38) as well considering the Browns have a serious phobia when it comes to scoring..

Please provide any comments as I would like to know what other's think of my picks or if you are a serious Bills fan.

NFL Week3 - The Saints come marching in

Well last week was a bit of a gift for my Bills. They showed up in the first quarter and that was about it. Luckily, Tampa is not that strong and we prevailed.

This week is a little different. The Saints are coming to town and I can't see the Bills stopping them.
The official line has the Saints favored by six. Based on the results out of http://www.mygametrends.com we see that these two teams don't have much of a history:

Since 2003, the New Orleans Saints, when playing the Buffalo Bills, are 1-0-0 Straight Up (SU), and 1-0-0 Against the Spread (ATS); Also, these games are Under 100.00% of the time (1 out of 1)

Here's my rundown for this week:

Saints (-6) vs Bills OU 51
- I'll take the Saints

Miami vs San Diego (-5.5) OU 44
Since 2003, the Miami Dolphins(Away Team), when playing the San Diego Chargers(Home Team), are 2-0-0 Straight Up (SU), and 2-0-0 Against the Spread (ATS); Also, these games are Under 100.00% of the time (2 out of 2)

- Take Miami and the over

Jacksonville vs Houston (-3.5) OU 47

Since 2003, the Jacksonville Jaguars(Away Team), when playing the Houston Texans(Home Team), are 1-5-0 Straight Up (SU), and 1-5-0 Against the Spread (ATS); Also, these games are Over 50.00% of the time (3 out of 6)

- Taking Houston

Pittsburgh(-3.5) vs Cincinnati OU 37.5
Since 2003, the Pittsburgh Steelers(Away Team), when playing the Cincinnati Bengals(Home Team), are 7-0-0 Straight Up (SU), and 7-0-0 Against the Spread (ATS); Also, these games are Under 71.43% of the time (5 out of 7)

- Taking Pittsburgh

Denver(-2) vs Oakland OU 37
Since 2003, the Denver Broncos(Away Team), when playing the Oakland Raiders(Home Team), are 5-1-0 Straight Up (SU), and 4-2-0 Against the Spread (ATS); Also, these games are Over 50.00% of the time (3 out of 6)

- taking Denver

So for a $10 Sports Select Pro Line Ticket
- New Orleans 1.6
- Miami 3.6
- Houston 1.8
- Pitt 1.6
- Denver 2.45

= 10 * 40.64 = $406.40
a $10 Point Spread ticket for the same games will yield us $160

on another note, one of our partners last week bet 5 over/under games last week using our tool as his guide (he's not a big football fan) and picked up a cool $250

Until next week.

NFL Week 2

My Bills, they actually had New England in their clutches. Why is it that something right out of left field has to always happen - if its not Scott Norwood it is somebody trying to run the ball when they shouldn't- I hope that the head coach had a little sit down with the special teams coach...

Anyways, this weekends game is a little easier. I have to think that my Bills will cover this game (-4.5 pts) and that it should be under.

Starting today I am also going to use our tool at http://www.mygametrends.com to make a few bets. I am in Canada so we have a legitimate way to bet on football games (NFL/NCAA/CFL). You can't bet on only a single game so you have to parlay a few together, it's not Vegas but it does make the games interesting (checkout http://sportselect.wclc.com/lists/index.html to see the latest lines).

Here is the ticket I am going to purchase:
I am going to put together a 4 game ticket on a $10 bet:
Game1: Take St Louis with the pts (10.5)
- Since 2003, the St. Louis Rams, when playing the Washington Redskins, are 2-1-0 Straight Up (SU), and 2-1-0 Against the Spread (ATS); Also, these games are Under 66.67% of the time (2 out of 3);
- The last two games the Rams have won ATS
Game 2: Pats (-5.5) over the Jets
- Since 2003, the New England Patriots(Away Team), when playing the NY Jets(Home Team), are 6-0-0 Straight Up (SU), and 6-0-0 Against the Spread (ATS)

Game 3: Take Tennessee (-7.5) over Houston
- Since 2003, the Houston Texans, when playing the Tennessee Titans, are 3-9-0 Straight Up (SU), and 5-7-0 Against the Spread (ATS)
- The key here though is that Tennessee has covered the last 3 at home

Game 4: Oakland(+2.5) Over KC
- Since 2003, the Oakland Raiders(Away Team), when playing the Kansas City Chiefs(Home Team), are 2-4-0 Straight Up (SU), and 5-0-1 Against the Spread (ATS)
- Oakland has dominated KC at home

A $10 Point Spread Ticket pays $90

Now, if we go with a Pro-Line ticket (teams have to win games by 3 or more points for a win)
Here are my picks:
- TEN over Houston WIN Odds are 1.45
- NWO over Phil Odds are 2.45
- NE over the Jets Odds are 1.60
- SF over Seattle Odds are 2.15
- PIT over CHI Odds are 2.00

a $10 ticket pays $244.40

Please leave any comments on my Bills or send us a tweet on Twitter.

2009 NFL Season Kicks Off

As you can probably see if you have visited the Blog, we have added our Twitter and Facebook links. We will be using Twitter to send out some weekly Tweets on some of the trends for the upcoming games based on our website http://mygametrends.com.

Also, we are offering a free BETA period from Sept 10 - 22. You get full GOLD level access to the NFL,NCAAF and the CFL. All the data is up to date so go and take it for a test drive.

We are also holding a draw at the end of the BETA period for a free annual Gold Football membership - a $39.95 value!! All you have to do to enter it is send us some feedback (good, bad or ugly).

Back to my Bills...+10.5 / OU 47.5
Did you know based on the results from our site that:
Since 2003, the Buffalo Bills on the road in the Regular Season in the month of September, when playing the New England Patriots at home, are 0-2-0 Straight Up (SU), and 1-1-0 Against the Spread (ATS); Also, these games are Over 50.00% of the time (1 out of 2);

The game in 2003 was in Buffalo and they were pummeled by the Pats.

The Pats are hurting for this one, but I can't see my beloved Bills taking this one or putting a lot of points on the board.

New Release on MyGameTrends.com

We have released a Test version of our Gold Level- check out http://www.mygametrends.com/ for details. Everyone who comes to the site can take it for a test drive. There should also be some documentation placed on the site shortly that will provide some guidance as well as a Glossary of terms.

You can also find a bronze version for the NCAAF as well available for all users. Let us know how it is working - silver and gold for NCAAF will be available in the next couple of weeks.

On a purely football note I don't know what to think of Vick going to the Eagles - the Eagles already get little respect from fans when they are on the road - this should only fan the flames.

And my Bills vs the Pack this weekend - This should make for a decent game - Buffalo has to get their turnovers under control but Edwards is looking pretty good.

MyGameTrends.com getting ready to launch

I thought I would start my first post with a little introduction. My name is Jim and I am one of the partners involved in a new website called 'MyGameTrends.com'. This site will benefit those folks who like to analyze sports stats - more specifically the NFL,NCAAF, CFL ( the NHL,NBA and MLB are coming soon). We have brought together years of historical date (including the lines and over/under) into a very complete and easy to use package - for free.

We are offering 3 membership levels (Bronze/Silver/Gold). The Bronze level gives you the basics (pick any two teams and we will give you a summary of all their games as well as the detail to the last 3 head to head games - all for free). For those who want a little bit more (team vs team/team vs conference) we have the silver membership (all you have to do is sign-up with an email account - nothing else), and we will provide you with even more detail and selection criteria.

For those serious analysts who want answers to questions on everything ranging from temperature to timezones the Gold membership has it all - you decide on what details you want to analyze and MyGameTrends displays it all in an easy to use interface.

We will also be providing the latest lines and O/U for the upcoming games. Everything you need to get prepared for the big weekend at http://www.mygametrends.com/ .

Over the next few weeks I will be posting screen shots of the latest development and also inviting people to come take a test run on our site - we will be constantly looking for feedback to enhance the user experience. I will also be discussing the upcoming football season and my Bills - hopefully Owens will be a benefit.
